  1. Do you learn one language at a time or both (Japanese and Korean?)
What do you think I should start off with if I want to learn Chinese, not through formal education? I want to be able to be able to communicate with native speakers fluently, read, write and understand as well as maybe translate like you too! ^^ Thank you!

    1. Hi there! I had exposure to Korean at a young age but only started studying it formally in my teenage years. I'd say learning both Japanese and Korean at the same time should not be too hard. The two share many similar features.
If I understood you correctly, you want to first learn Chinese and then Japanese and Korean? I would suggest to learn Japanese first as it uses Chinese characters as well. On the other hand, Korean may prove to be simpler because it uses an alphabet like English. Aside from the written language, both Japanese and Korean are very different from Modern Standard Chinese both phonologically and syntactically.
I wish you the best of luck :)
